The profession of occupational therapy understands the power of occupation, the mundanity but essence of day to day life.

After an injury or when living with a disability, occupational therapy practitioners ask “What is the most meaningful to you now?” and use the art and science of their profession to return individuals to the ability to participate in the meaningful activities, the occupations, of life.

I like to say “May you never need an occupational therapist but if you do, I hope you know where to find us because we are the single most trained professional to give you back what you treasure most in your life, your occupations”.

WVOTA represents the professional interests and concerns of occupational therapy practitioners and students in WV, advocating for the profession, the occupational wellbeing of people in the state and the individuals occupational practitioners of the state.

WVOT provides continuing education and legislative advocacy for the members of the association and works collaboratively the with American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA).
